Congratulations to the Crayola Crayon people who are celebrating their 100th Anniversary. In this age of super high tech it's nice to remember the lowliness from whence we all came and if it wasn't for the guys at Crayola, growing up would not have been half the fun. I had to chuckle while reading the article which stated that certain colors had to be renamed over the years to maintain a little crayon PC like "Indian" Red and all little boy's favourite, "Flesh". I recall the pleasure of a new shool year opening a fresh new box of those chunks of rainbow colored wax and the care taken to keep them as pristine as possible. However, by the end of the term they were all just pitiful stubs of their former selves with the black one nowhere to be seen. They tasted pretty good too.
Congrats also go out to Google, the search engine, for winning the prestigious "Best Brand" award beating out Apple computers (yay!!) and the mighty Coca Cola company. I wonder if the fact that the poll was done online have anything to do with it? Yahoo anyway!
