To NHL Or Not To NHL

I seem to have fallen down on the job again in not posting for such a long time.
The encoding of home videos is completed. Raw footage from over 23 1 and 2 hour tapes has been archived onto 19 DVD's. From here I can create edited videos which can then be authored to DVD that can be played on most DVD players. Right now I'm boning up on an editing program that I will use to create these masterpieces. First up is a little wedding presentation to be shown during the reception.
I guess this weekend is the final deadline for salvaging any kind of season for the NHL which to me, being a non hockey fan, means very little. But for the diehards I'm not sure what the reaction is. What kind of a season could we be looking at if the dispute does get settled? A very short schedule with a bunch of out of shape players and the Stanley cup in the middle of July? Well, I guess some people would watch it. But from what I've heard about these negotiations over the past few weeks, I wouldn't hold my breath for a settlement.
