Taking A Breather
Chris is starting a new job today and you'll never guess where. He is taking a position as a shipper at Movie Central, where I work, so we will be running into each other periodically when I'm on days. But not today, however, as I am done work at 8:00 am and plan to be unconcious by the time Chris starts his first day. I will catch up with him next week when I start my day shift. It's been quite a bit of work doing all the video and DVD stuff for the wedding but I have found it quite rewarding. So much so that now I am anxious to get into some of the old footage we have from past holidays and put them into some kind of order. Now that I have the DVD authoring thing figured out, and the fact that it worked so well, it will be great to make that stuff more accessible so that people can enjoy the memories instead of the tapes being stuffed in a drawer somewhere where no one is able to see them. However, I must rein in my enthusiasm as I am sure at least one person will be upset with me if I cloister myself in my office for the next two months working on another project when there is so much to be done outside. Besides, it's now summertime and despite the miserable weather we have been having, I'm sure there will be nice enough days to get out and enjoy the great outdoors before the snow once again begins to fly. Then I can hunker down and work on my projects during the colder months that will all too soon be here.
