Storm Watch

It was almost a Cinderella story on Friday as the Sharks (me and Chris) rallied through the playoff levels in the Movie Central foosball tournament. After being trounced severely in the round robin, we actually won our first two games in the playoffs and were well on our way to a come-from-behind surge. Unfortunately, the streak came to an end when we were narrowly defeated in our third game by a score of 10 to 9. Although disappointed that we lost by such a close score we were both happy that we had at least redeemed ourselves from the previous losses. Although we didn't do that well it was still lots of fun.
We have been monitoring the progress of hurricane Wilma and were shocked to see how much damage it has done to the Mayan Riveiera. Our main concern, though, was in where it was headed afterwards. Fortunately, it is heading away from where Nikki is situated near Pensacola and is instead threatening the Florida keys. There's now another storm brewing in the Atlantic which means that this season has had the most hurricanes on record and it is said that there will be heightened storm activity in that area for the next twenty years. If this year is any indication we may see a few ghost towns along the Gulf coast in a few years.
