It's Beginning To Look A Bit Like You Know What....

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Just finishing off a midnight shift, last one tonight. Yahoo! Last Wednesday was Angela's convocation (graduation) from the U of A. She's finally done and has the letters behind her name to prove it. We had a little celebration at the house last night with a few friends over and lots of dessert. On Friday night we went to a musical dinner theatre for Dianne's office Christmas party. It was a tribute to all the oldies from the 50's and 60's and was quite enjoyable. On Saturday night we went out to Leduc for a while to give the kids a hand laying some new flooring in their living room.
For the next few weeks I am going to be pretty busy. Along with all the prep stuff for Christmas I will be playing sax in the orchestra for the Singing Christmas Tree which is put on by one of the local churches here in Edmonton and has been a big tradition for many years. It involves a lot of rehearsals and 10 performances so it's a pretty big time commitment.
We have been languishing in glorious weather for the last week or so and it's supposed to continue, which is good as I still have to put up the Christmas lights and I hate doing in the snow at minus 20.
Over the weekend we had a missions fest at our church and I had spent the better part of last week building a display for it. It is for the IHS Orchestra which is the big band I am involved with and the display looks like this. It has a video screen in the middle that plays a little 6 minute video that I put together using footage and stills of the band from the BBC show they did and pictures that I took on a couple of tours.
Well I guess it's time to get out and start doing the Christmas shopping. Hopefully the nice weather will stick around until we get that done.
