The second half of our trip involved driving from Miami to Crestview to visit Nicole and Chris. After getting off the ship on Friday morning we picked up our rental car and headed up the main highway along the eastern coast of Florida. We did not spend any time in Miami as we had hoped but got right on the highway. We stayed overnight in Jacksonville and Panama City before arriving in Crestview on Sunday afternoon. We spent the week hanging out with the kids, seeing where they lived and worked and meeting some of their friends and relatives. We also managed a couple of days on the snow white sandy beaches of Fort Walton Beach and we went out for a lot of seafood. It was good to see Nikki and her new environment. At the end of the week we drove to Pensacola, dropped off the car and caught our flights home. Stay tuned for a detailed write up of this part of the trip in a few days.
