Here's a small sample of some of the pictures we took or had taken during our Windjammer cruise aboard the Legacy. There are many more and it will be a bit of a job to sort through the 500 or so that I took and the several hundred we got from the ship's photographer but with time I will post an interesting picture album. And of course this is just half of the trip. There will also be a pictures of our visit with Nicole and Christopher in Crestview and I will be posting a few of them tomorrow.
Our trip around the Bahamas on the Legacy was wonderful. We had great weather most of the time with just a bit of rain on a couple of days. We visited a few deserted islands and spent time there sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and viewing sea life. We even went on two scuba dives, one was our Discover SCUBA introduction and the other was an actual one hour dive in 40 feet of water. We also visited some fairly developed islands where we shopped for souvenirs and went on interesting excursions. There was always lots to do and we did quite a bit. There was a great group on board and we met a lot of people from all over the US and Canada. The food was very good and plentiful. Our cabin was larger than expected and very comfortable. All in all it was a wonderful week filled with lots of neat activities. Once I transfer and edit my journal to the computer and organize some pictures I will be posting them on the site. Just look for the link to the left under the Legacy picture.
Tomorrow I will briefly describe our trip from Miami to Crestview and our weeklong visit with the kids along with a few photos.
This was Dianne's and my first day back at work since our trip and so we were understandably feeling a little depressed. Then we just watched the Oilers get beaten by Carolina in the first game of the Stanley Cup final. We hope that things improve there as the series progresses to the ultimate victory of the Oilers. As for the other thing we are just going to have to go on another Windjammer cruise.
