So Much For The Heatwave

Some cool, rainy weather put the kybosh on any holiday activities this weekend and even some housecleaning projects seemed to fizzle out before they were started. We were supposed to clean out the garage on Saturday, but with one thing and another we didn't get it accomplished. I have been trying to spend a little more time working on the video for Nikki's wedding and it usually ends up consuming more of my time than I'd like. But I got a fair amount done on the weekend thanks to the weather but I think I'd sooner be outside enjoying balmy weather for the last week of our holidays. No doubt I will be spending a few all-nighters trying to get the video completed.
With Devon & Catherine's wedding coming up here this weekend we are gearing up for the arrival of the out of town guests from Dianne's side, most of whom will be staying here one or two nights. So tomorrow we are having the carpets cleaned and Dianne has been busy cleaning up the place. With everything going on I'm not sure we are going to be able to take our anticipated bike trip into the valley. That may have to wait for another time that we are both off together.
I was just reading about Kyle McDonald, the blogger, who, on his blog one red paperclip, managed to barter his way from a paperclip up to a house and now is about to publish a book about his exploits as well as a movie deal. It's a pretty interesting story but it still makes me think that most people are amused by so little. Obviously the Chronicle does not draw that much attention---Thank goodness.
